has been an exciting venture – transforming sand or tire shredded
play areas into aesthetically pleasing, safe play areas for our
children. The parents are ecstatic – no black marks on the
children or their clothes – no more sand or mulch to clean
out of their shoes at night. One private school that Garden Golf Greens installed
“Soft Lawn” Grass for was accustomed to lining the children
up every day after play and they did a stomping, shaking routine
to get the mulch off their socks and clothes before they went back
into the school.
“ Safe Play Yards” and Playground surface installations are performed
with compliance consideration of the Consumer Protection Safety Board recommendations
for playground surfaces. These requirements – with emphasis on safety include “a
safety cushion” under the Garden Golf Greens surface to reduce injury from falls around
climber and slide equipment; creating “fall zones”. This “safety
cushion” extends a minimum of 6 meters in all directions from the perimeter
of the equipment.
Further according to the U S Consumer Products Commission eight out of ten
surfaces in use today were found to be too hard and that 75% of all playground
injuries were a result of falls and that protective surfacing under and around
play equipment is a critical factor on playgrounds.

Garden Golf Greens utilizes a soft polyethylene 2” synthetic
fibre that is
UV protected. It has been treated and tufted on a porous backing.
The same quality product is used for our school, play yard and lawn
applications which resembles real grass. The surface is in filled
to increase stability , creating a weighted surface which looks
beautiful year around. It can be cleaned with a leaf blower or rake.
The fibres are water resistant and our technicians are trained to
install your new yard with proper seaming and drainage.
